Punch Buggy Blue Two

I was back in Uruguay for a week shooting some new commercials for work. It had been almost a year to the day since I was there with Jon and Jill.

And, since they love the Bug in Uruguay, I couldn't let the opportunity to hit you again pass.

No punch backs!!!

I'm taking a few days on the back end of this work trip to head back to Argentina. I'm currently in Puerto Iguazu to see the Falls.

And, since I'm back on the road, it felt like the right time to do my first post in almost 5 months.  It's pouring rain here, but I'm making my way to the falls anyway.  Let's hope the next one has a bit more substance than a dumb punch buggy and I can get a few snaps for you all.

Weekend Photo Project

Happy New Year to the Just Cuz It's Round Crew.  I know I'm a tad bit late, but I just wanted to make sure I was the last one to wish it to you all!

I know I haven't posted in a long time.  I guess I've been waiting for the tidy package of "what's next for me" to share. (that's still TBD, BTW)   And, in the meantime, I'm procrastinating on weblog things.   I'm trying to find a job - I'm not willing to say it's over, people.   I'm sure you understand.

Anyway, since I've been back, I've been playing around with shooting and editing on my iPhone and the host of apps that are available in the Apple Store.  And, this weekend I got a little idea for a photo project while I was dog-sitting up in the Country.  It was super foggy, stark and sad (the weather, not me).  Which made me long for summer.

So, I titled the series: The Promise of Summer

I originally shared these on Instagram (@elparkerbarnum) on Saturday, so apologies for the folks who've seen them already (NB - I'm still figuring out the proper use for that thing.  Some are silly so far, some are more like the ones below).  But, I'm liking an idea of a semi-regular "theme" project to keep the creative juices going and to keep you all engaged in the ongoing journey.   The series of 6 photos are below.

Hope you like them.  I hope to keep doing it more.
